Outdoor opera festival - descOPERA is an outstanding project. Discover both opera - a magnificent art that conquered the whole world and the unique place in Moldova, Natural and Cultural Reservation Old Orhei. It is good to know the Reservation and to understand how many treasures hide the land of Moldova and how great is the force of people, who can initiate, including historical relics, a project called descOPERA.

Overview

descOPERA Festival is a classical music festival that takes place outdoors in a natural amphitheater, June 3 - 5 at "Old Orhei" Butuceni, Orhei, Moldova.

Festival guests will have the wonderful opportunity to listen to and discover the beauty of classical music in a rural area, which is a part of the open-air museum "Old Orhei". Spectators will go back in time and enjoy a noble and distinguished atmosphere together with those passionate about art and culture.

Natural amphitheater provides an ideal sound for orchestra and voices of opera singers, which the guests will enjoy of, admiring the place in nature, accommodated on wooden chairs or bales of straw.

Another element that will attract attention is a true stone house, built for performance and became the museum of opera later on. Visitors will be greeted with quality wines, provided by Wine of Moldova and traditional meals of the guesthouses of Reservation villages.

The idea of ​​organizing the festival belongs to director of the Guesthouse Eco-Resort "Butuceni", Mr. Anatol Botnaru when he met Mr. Friedrich Pfeiffer, an Austrian orchestra conductor, who was visiting Old Orhei.

The event descOPERA will be an impressive experience that will encourage all guests to discover the culture and the give the tourists another reason to visit the country.

The event is organized by Eco-Resort Butuceni,  "Sens Music" company and the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet "Maria Biesu" under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova with the support of a strategic partner - the Competitiveness Project USAID Moldova.
